Don’t forget the front of store for Point of Sale

Every shop manager will know that point of sale materials are critical to encouraging impulse purchases made within the retail sector.  While customer stands to pay for their shopping or are standing in a reception area it is a key time for them to view advertising material, complete competition forms, make an impulse purchase or find out about new products.

For this reason point of sale signage is extremely important and can significantly contribute towards increasing sales.  It is also much easier to up sell a customer at the point of purchase using attractive sales materials than without.

Point of sale also relates to the retail signs used on the front of a store to attract customers inside.  This can include any number of banner flags, A boards, frame signs, sale signs and lighting – in fact any signage that is attractive and eye catching will all positively help.  If you own a corner store, a small boutique or food outlet this is an important part of the promotional kit required to promote your business to passing trade.  Your goal is to give passersby a reason to come into your shop.
