Communicate your image in the Shop Window

If you own a boutique on a busy high street then you can really get creative with your point of sale and displays to encourage the passing trade to visit your shop.  What can seem extreme or out of place at a traditional retail outlet can be seen as interesting and quirky in a boutique.  You want to create displays that make your boutique stand out.  Certain point of sale materials can help to reinforce your brand and image as well as selling your clothing and products and leaving a positive impression on customers who will be more likely to return.

The shop window itself is extremely important and can play a huge role in attracting customers.  Before you rush out and buy lots of point of sale and expensive items think about what you are trying to achieve.  What type of image do you want to create?  If you are trying to carve out a niche as a boutique with an individual style then you need to reflect this in your displays.  Creating a standard display will not convey this message to customers.

Shoppers choose boutiques for several reasons.  Many are enchanted by the charm of them, the unusual décor, the one-to-one advice and the individual and unique clothes and accessories that are on offer.  You need to understand what your customers are looking for and then communicate this in the shop window display.
